She is a famous actress in Telugu, Tamil, Odissa and Bengal and she has acted in nearly 2500 movies. She has acted in the films Mangalya Balam, Nirnayam etc in Telugu etc and she has acted as Mahesh Babu's grandmother in 'Murari'.
She has been conferred Padmasri by the government in 2003 and she won the best supporting actress award in National level in 2010.
